Memorial Tree Program
Honor a Life. Plant a Legacy.
The Memorial Tree Program offers families and friends a meaningful way to honor a loved one through the planting of a commemorative tree in a Lockport Township Park District neighborhood park. Each tree serves as a living tribute, creating beauty, shade and environmental benefits for the community while preserving the memory of someone special.
Installation Periods: Spring and Fall, based on demand and weather conditions.
Planting Locations: A Lockport Township Park District neighborhood park, with final placement determined by the Park Services Department.
Your $400 tax-deductible donation includes the tree (2”–3” caliper, minimum 6’ height), delivery, professional installation, a remembrance plaque and ongoing maintenance. Trees are planted by the Park Services Department and placed in collaboration with the donor.
Memorial Bench Program
Leave a Meaningful Legacy in Our Community Parks.
The Memorial Bench Program gives families, friends and community members a meaningful way to honor a loved one through a permanent bench dedication in a Lockport Township Park District park. Through the Ed Brown Tree and Bench Commemorative Program, memorial benches create a visible and lasting tribute in a shared public space.
A memorial bench dedication offers more than recognition. It supports the beauty and usability of our community parks while giving loved ones a peaceful place to pause, reflect and remember.
Your $1,500 tax-deductible donation includes a memorial bench, delivery, professional installation, a concrete pad, commemorative plaque and ongoing maintenance. Benches are installed by the Park Services Department and placed in collaboration with the donor.
