LockRocks Free Concert Series

Enjoy a Lockport summer tradition with the Lockport Township Park District’s LockRocks Free Concert Series at Dellwood Park!

Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and relax at the Dellwood Park Bandshell while enjoying an evening of live music, food trucks, and a lively beer garden atmosphere. Each concert night features high-energy performances and crowd-favorite hits spanning a variety of genres—from tropical rock and yacht rock to country and classic ‘80s anthems.

Pop-Up Park Jams in Dellwood Park

Spend your summer evenings enjoying live music at Dellwood Park with the Lockport Township Park District’s Pop-Up Park Jams!

This family-friendly concert series brings a variety of local musicians to the Dellwood Park Bandshell, creating the perfect midweek outing. Relax with bleacher or lawn seating, grab a bite from a food truck, and enjoy great tunes in a laid-back outdoor setting.

Each week features a different performer, offering a mix of styles and sounds to keep things fresh all summer long. Don’t miss a special performance by Sunfallen on July 3 before the Dellwood Park fireworks!

Will County Car Show

Sunday, August 16, 2026
8:00 AM–3:00 PM

Rev up your engines and head to Dellwood Park for the 29th Annual Will County Car Show—one of the area’s premier automotive events!
With over 700 cars in previous years, this show is a must-see for car enthusiasts and families alike.

Enjoy a full day of classic cars, live music, great food, crafts, and a swap meet.
Spectators receive free admission, making it easy to stop by and take in the impressive lineup of vehicles.

Live entertainment includes AJ Skrabis (acoustic) from 10:00–11:30 AM and the Backdated Band from 1:00–3:30 PM.
DJ 3D Sound will also be on-site throughout the event.

Car show participants can register the day of the event from 8:00 AM–12:00 PM ($20 entry).
The first 400 registered cars will receive trophies and dash plaques.

Proceeds from the event support The Dellwood Foundation.

Military History Weekend 2026

September 12–13, 2026 | Dellwood Park

Step back in time during one of the Midwest’s premier living history events as Military History Weekend returns to Dellwood Park! Experience history through authentic encampments, battle reenactments, military displays, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities spanning multiple eras of American military history.

Throughout the weekend, visitors can explore Civil War, World War I, World War II, and Vietnam-era camps while interacting with knowledgeable reenactors portraying soldiers and civilians. Watch large-scale battle reenactments, military demonstrations, and special living history presentations that bring history to life.

Hispanic Heritage Celebration 2026

Celebrate the rich cultures, traditions, and contributions of the Hispanic community at the Lockport Township Park District’s Hispanic Heritage Celebration! This free, family-friendly event brings the community together for an afternoon filled with live entertainment, cultural performances, food, and activities for all ages.

Experience the vibrant sounds of Mariachi Universitario and enjoy a colorful performance by Ballet Folklórico Tayahua, showcasing the beauty and tradition of Mexican folkloric dance. Families can also enjoy inflatables, games, face painting, local vendors, and a variety of food trucks throughout the event.

Whether you’re celebrating your heritage or discovering new traditions, everyone is welcome to join us for this special community celebration.

Scarecrow Lane

Scarecrow Decorating Contest

Show off your creativity and become part of Scarecrow Lane at Dellwood Park! Individuals, families, businesses, schools, clubs, and community organizations are invited to create and decorate a scarecrow to be displayed along the path behind Volz Field House.

Scarecrow frames will be staked and ready for decorating beginning Monday, October 5, and a bale of hay will be provided. Participants supply all other decorating materials. Scarecrows must be completed by Sunday, October 11 and should be family-friendly and weather-resistant.

Community voting will take place October 12–18, beginning during Family Fall Fest, with the winning scarecrow announced on Facebook on Monday, October 19.

Registration Deadline: Monday, September 28, 2026
Entry Fee: $15 per scarecrow

Participants are also invited to hand out candy in front of their scarecrow during Family Fall Fest on Monday, October 12 from 11:00 AM–1:30 PM. Costumes are encouraged!

Family Fall Fest 2026

Monday, October 12, 2026 | 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM | Dellwood Park – Volz Field House

Celebrate the beauty of autumn at Family Fall Fest, a fun-filled afternoon packed with seasonal activities for all ages! Gather the family and enjoy a relaxing hayride through Dellwood Park while taking in the colorful fall scenery, then spend the day exploring games, attractions, and festive activities.

Meet friendly animals at the petting zoo, challenge yourself on the inflatable slide, obstacle course and maze, enjoy face painting, and play a variety of family-friendly games. Don’t forget to stroll through Scarecrow Lane behind the Volz Field House and cast your vote for your favorite scarecrow display!

$15 per person | Registration is required. Register online and select your preferred hayride time slot. Space is limited.

Hayride of Horror & Curse of the Bayou Haunted Maze

Experience one of Chicagoland’s premier Halloween attractions at Dellwood Park! Climb aboard the Hayride of Horror for a chilling ride through haunted woods filled with terrifying creatures and unexpected scares. Then, if you dare, venture into Curse of the Bayou, a haunted maze where an ancient Voodoo Priestess and her twisted followers await.

Choose one attraction or experience both for the ultimate night of terror.
While you’re here, enjoy concessions, a bonfire, outdoor movies, and live entertainment.

Festival of Trees

Christmas Tree Decorating Contest

Show off your creativity and holiday spirit in the Festival of Trees! Local businesses, organizations, schools, churches, and community groups are invited to decorate a 6-foot pre-lit Christmas tree provided by the Lockport Township Park District.

Decorated trees will be on display during Christmas in the Square at the Gladys Fox Museum on Saturday, November 28 from 1:00–5:00 PM. Community members will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite tree, and the winning entry will receive a monetary prize.
