Group Swim Lessons for Kids

Group Swim Lessons give kids the chance to build confidence in the water while learning alongside their peers. Led by experienced instructors, classes are tailored to each child’s age and ability. Through the American Red Cross swim program, children ages 6 months to 13 years will develop water safety, essential swim skills, and confidence—all in a fun, age-appropriate environment.

Class Options

  • Water Babies (6 months – 3 years): Parent & child class focusing on water comfort and early skills.
  • Intro to Water Tikes (ages 3–5): Parents/guardians (18+) in the water for the first four classes; builds comfort and independence.
  • Water Tikes (ages 4–5): Age-appropriate lessons focused on safety, survival skills, and confidence.
  • Learn-to-Swim (ages 6–13): Progressive lessons that focus on technique, survival skills, and stroke development.

Offered Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings at the Challenge Fitness Pool. ☀️ Summer group lessons are also available in outdoor pools.


On Deck & Ride the Wave Private Lessons

Private lessons are perfect for swimmers ages 3+ who need personal attention, want to progress quickly, have scheduling constraints, or are working on competitive skills.

  • On Deck Registration is the starting point. Limited spots are available each session. After registering, it takes about 7–10 business days to be matched with an instructor.
  • Once paired, you can continue with the same instructor through Ride the Wave Registration, purchasing additional packages as long as schedules coordinate and your account is in good standing.

Package Includes: Five 30-minute lessons

Fees:

  • Private (1st student): $110 Resident / $125 Non-Resident
  • Each additional student: $35 Resident / $45 Non-Resident

Private lessons are only available during lap swim times.

Policies

  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance with your instructor.
  • No-shows or late cancellations will result in a charged lesson.
  • Switching instructors due to availability changes requires a $15 administration fee.
  • Packages expire three months from purchase.
  • Please arrive on time—lessons run back-to-back.
  • Communication with your instructor is encouraged for best results.

If you prefer a fixed schedule, Set Private Swim Lessons are the way to go. Dates and times are pre-scheduled, so you’ll know exactly when your lessons are each week.

Package Includes: Five 30-minute lessons (consecutive weeks)

  • 5:45 PM – 6:15 PM
  • 6:20 PM – 6:50 PM
  • 6:55 PM – 7:25 PM

Fees:

  • Private (1:1): $110 Resident / $125 Non-Resident
  • Semi-Private (2:1): $145 Resident / $170 Non-Resident
  • Group of 3: $180 Resident / $215 Non-Resident
  • Additional student: $35 Resident / $45 Non-Resident
