The mission of the Lockport Township Park District Police Department is to provide safe parks and facilities for the community to utilize and enjoy.

The Park District Police Department currently has two full-time officers and ten part-time officers. All of the officers are certified through the State of Illinois.

The Park Police are responsible for District owned property in a 45 square mile area of Lockport Township that includes parts of Lockport, Crest Hill and Romeoville. There are over 50 parks and facilities in the district.

Park Police Officers patrol all areas of the District in vehicles, ATV's and dual-purpose motorcycles.
