The Challenge Fitness addition gives LTPD and its residents two modern outdoor pools along with this indoor pool. These facilities provide hours of fun along with programs such as Swim Lessons, Water Walking, and Joint Tune-Up and Water Aerobics. Challenge Fitness' aquatics program offers an array of opportunities for patrons to get-fit and stay in-shape. The features of our aquatic facility include: A five-lane 25 yard lap pool (3½ - 5½ feet in depth) 10 person whirlpool Men's and women's steam rooms American Red Cross certified swimming lessons for children 8 months to 13 years Certified Joint Tune-up Program recognized by the National Arthritis Foundation Water Aerobics Parent-tot swim Pool party rentals for all occasions Lap swimming Water walking Open swim hours during the weekend You MUST be 18 years or older for lap swim and water walking. During open swim, children 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older. The only Personal Floatation Devices (PFDs) allowed are those approved by the U.S. Coast Guard and must be built directly into the bathing suit. Managers can refuse PFD use. Card. Children are defined as those 17 and younger. Seniors are defined as those 60 and older. A family consists of mother, father and immediate children. Swim Lessons Lockport Township Park District Aquatics have Red Cross certified swim instructors to teach many levels of classes that will build your child's confidence as well as their swimming skills. Swim lessons are available to children 8 months and over. A typical weekday during the summer will include over twenty different classes. Students can begin at a level that best suits their swimming ability and then proceed to more advanced levels. Basic swimming for adults is available through private lessons. Pool Rentals Pool rental rates are based on parties for up to 50 people. Resident $150 for 2 hours Non-Resident $200 for 2 hours Birthday Party Package Birthday party package rental rates are based on a parties for up to 20 people. Package Includes: 2 hours of swimming, a professionally baked birthday cake, goody bags, tableware, juice boxes - for up to 20 kids. Additional children over 20 - $5.00 each.
